Air pollution

  • European conutries are taking measures to limit certain pollutants, such as a standard on gaseous emissions for vehicles or stricter thresholds for industrial emissions.

  • During pollution peaks, prefectures and local authorities take initiatives, such as alternating traffic, speed limits, reduction of fares for using public transport, ban on the burning of agricultural waste, etc.
  • The introduction of vignettes to obtain one's air quality certificate is also being introduced. You can find all this information about the stickers directly on www.certificat-air.gouv.fr.
